Laser Tattoo Removal

Our clinic offers treatments with the Medical Grade Ultralase Q-switched NdYag laser which can remove most tattoo pigment, excluding green, yellow, and white, on average within 6-12 sessions based on the type and quality of the tattoo.  During the consultation and test patch, our clinician will evaluate the ink color, type, and depth of your tattoo, along with your desired end result for a comprehensive pricing and treatment assessment

There are many factors to determine how many treatments you may require and for this reason, we require a consultation with you.

Our consultations are 50% off the below-listed price when booking your first treatment for the same time. To book the correct amount of time please measure your tattoo from left to right, top to bottom to choose the removal size.

Pricing is determined by size. Once we view the tattoo we can better provide costs for you.

Can all tattoos be removed?

While the majority of tattoos can be successfully removed or their appearance lessened, there is a small percent that may not respond to lasers. Our medical-grade lasers have the ability to remove most colored inks, however, some colors may not respond as well, such as yellow and green which may only lighten a  little, and white which cannot be removed at all. We can advise you on your suitability and determine if your tattoo is eligible for removal during our initial consultation.

What type of laser is used?

We use a Q-Switched NdYag Medical Grade laser machine, which can be safely used anywhere on the face and body. With these medical-grade lasers, professional and amateur tattoos can be removed.

How many treatments will I need?

Most of our clients undertake an average of 6-12 treatments* to achieve optimal results. While some fading may be apparent after only several sessions, more treatments are recommended to reach 80% removal of the unwanted tattoo. Factors that contribute to how many treatments are required and if they will be effective include:

  • Skin type

  • Location of the tattoo

  • The colors used in the tattoo

  • Amount of ink and size within a tattoo

  • If there is scarring and tissue change in the tattoo

  • If the tattoo is layered

We will be able to estimate the number of laser tattoo removal treatments you require during our consultation, as well as the cost for your treatments

How often can I have treatment?

Treatments may be performed approximately 6 to 8 weeks apart, giving the area sufficient time to heal between sessions. This minimises the chances of scarring and other complications.

Does it hurt?

While medical-grade Q-Switched NdYag laser treatments can cause slight discomfort, this is usually only minor and is a similar sensation to a rubber band snapping on your skin.  We use ice packs in the treatment area, before, during, and after treatment.

Are there any side effects of Laser Tattoo Removal?

Some side effects are possible with laser tattoo removal, though these are usually minor and do not last long. The most common of side effects include:

  • Redness

  • Swelling

  • Very minor blistering

These temporary side effects generally last less than a week

Can the area be re-tattooed?

Absolutely, once the treated area has fully healed, it’s perfectly fine for the skin to be re-tattooed.

What does laser tattoo removal cost?

We do have a low consultation fee to cover our time, however, this is redeemable if you purchase a package at the time of the consultation.  At the consultation, we will provide you with an estimated quote for each treatment. Tattoo removal begins at $99.  As tattoos differ in size and complexity, laser tattoo removal cost can vary depending on your circumstances.

Consultation is free when you have your first treatment at the same time as the consultation. Please measure the area to determine which treatment booking to make.
